New Trading Partner for Poland

Customers in Poland will now have an exclusive sales representative for singold gerätetechnik gmbh’s pneumatic knockers: the company CTMS, based in Myszków in Silesia, will serve as the contact for all customers in the Polish market.

“This is a continuation of our strategy of offering international customers direct sales representatives in the region,” says Operations Manager Oliver Lüer. “We are pleased that this will allow us to further improve our service for Polish customers.”

CTMS was founded in 2012 as a bulk solids technology company and is thus a proven expert in processes and products in the field of bulk solids. For singold gerätetechnik gmbh, this opens up the possibility of supplying other companies with its high-performance pneumatic knockers.

As the new sales base for Poland, CTMS joins the ranks of singold gerätetechnik gmbh’s other international sales representatives located in Great Britain, Australia, Israel, Sweden, South Africa and Switzerland.

singold gerätetechnik represented at trade fair in Israel

Amid the pandemic, it is more difficult than ever before to showcase products to an interested trade audience and to engage face-to-face with users. At the beginning of December, however, our Israeli trade partner was able to represent singold gerätetechnik at a local in-house exhibition of ICL Bromine Compound.

The in-house exhibition took place as part of the Conference on Innovations in Chemical Process Technology from Dec 8th to 9th, 2021, in Tel Aviv. In addition to singold gerätetechnik, around forty other suppliers, manufacturers and representatives presented their products.
The local trading partner, Ephraim Konstabler from Koni Engineering Ltd, primarily showcased the singold gerätetechnik Pneumatic Distance-Knocker QJ, which was designed for knocking off moving containers or slowly rotating drums, as well as for hot walls, to the engineers, project managers and maintenance managers in attendance.
“We have maintained a trusting relationship with our customers in Israel for decades now”, says operations manager Oliver Lüer. “We are delighted that the ICL trade fair helps us to further expand this business”.

Our wide range of variants: The ideal knocker for every system

Just as the application scenarios for pneumatic knockers are diverse, so too are the requirements. Whether high temperatures, special hygiene requirements or very large silos, singold gerätetechnik gmbh offers a wide range of pneumatic knockers so you’ll have no problem finding one perfectly suited to your specific needs.

Application temperature is crucial

The most important factor in selecting the optimum knocker is the application temperature. For temperatures up to 60 °C, a standard version with a plastic piston can be used. For applications above 60 °C, the piston is made of aluminium. Cover and anchor plate, tube and striker are made of aluminium, steel or stainless steel, depending on the individual application situation.

The pneumatic knocker can even be used with wall temperatures of over 140 °C. A T-shaped welding plate to increase the distance to the hot wall, a heat-dissipating plate and a heat insulation plate are available as accessories in this case.

Steel or stainless steel for special challenges

Even if the application temperature is below 60 °C, steel knocker models may still be the most suitable due to their resistance and durability. This applies to working areas with aggressive types of dust or vapours, such as the fertiliser industry, or if the knocker is to be used on different containers.

For plants with increased hygiene requirements, singold gerätetechnik gmbh produces knockers in which all external parts are made of stainless steel.

When direct mounting is not possible: Distance knockers

If a classic pneumatic knocker cannot be mounted due to movement or high temperatures, the Pneu­matic Distance-Knocker QJ is an alternative. Depending on the size, it bridges a distance of 25-35 mm to a container or a rotary drum. This makes it ideal for filling and emptying stations with changing containers, slowly rotating drums and hot walls. The piston rod is available without thread, with external thread and with internal thread, as well as in an extended version, allowing the distance of the knocker to be selected as high as possible for high-temperature walls. Models to improve sound insulation

To improve occupational safety, models with strikers made of the rubber-elastic material Vulkollan are available. In addition, noise emissions can be reduced with special noise protection hoods.

K160: The Most Powerful Pneumatic Knocker in the World

singold gerätetechnik gmbh produces and sells the world’s most powerful pneumatic knocker. While competitor models can at best cover a wall thickness of up to 12 mm, the K160 can knock walls with a thickness of up to 25 mm. This makes it suitable for massive, heavy-duty containers. For example, it is used in the mining industry for discharge chutes, in the building materials industry for gravel bunker outlets, in the chemical industry for mixing plants, in the lime industry for silos with a capacity of over 200 tons and in the fertilizer industry .

 

Supernatural Strength

The powerful model has an impact energy of 423 newton meters. This corresponds to the energy generated when a weight of 42.3 kg is dropped from a height of 1 meter. This high impact energy cannot be achieved with human forces, even if a 20 kg sledgehammer were used. The reason? The acceleration and, consequently, the final velocity of the impact weight in the knocker is far higher than the final velocity that a human being can generate. When the piston, which is designed as a magnet, is pulled off the anchor plate, the acceleration in the K160 pneumatic knocker is about 25 g = 250 m / s². New Sales Base in England with Powder Process Design Services

singold gerätetechnik gmbh has a new sales base for Great Britain and Ireland. Powder Process Design Services is now the point of contact for customers in the region.

The continuing expansion of singold gerätetechnik as a manufacturer of pneumatic knockers and flap locks led to the decision to provide customers in Great Britain and Ireland with a personal contact on site.

Powder Process Design Services was chosen for a good reason: “The company is specialized in plant engineering and process technology and has installed our knockers in the past,” explains the operation manager of singold gerätetechnik, Oliver Lüer. “Therefore, our contact person, Bradley Thomas, is familiar with and has an appreciation for our products.”

Flap shutter from singold: lightning fast, enduring, low-maintenance

The flap shutter from singold gerätetechnik gmbh is an advanced version of the conventional pendulum flap. The flap shutter is used for the complete unloading of containers and bulk material of all kinds. Examples include hopper scales, primary and secondary vessels in mixing plants, wagons, reservoirs under filters and separators and cone worm mixers.

Sophisticated mechanics

The flap shutter from singold gerätetechnik gmbh was developed with the highest level of engineering. Thanks to its ingenious mechanics, the flap shutter first moves vertically downwards and then quickly swings completely to the side out of the product flow. This minimizes wear, especially with abrasive materials. The bulk material is neither damaged nor modified, nor is there wear on the flap shutter. This and its lubrication-free slide bearings make the flap shutter from singold an extremely enduring and low-maintenance device. Even with manually operated designs, large nominal widths with a high flap load can be opened quickly with little physical effort. Erwin Lüer, the company founder, applied for the patent of this innovative design in the 1970s.

Custom-made solutions for every application

The flap shutter is available in different materials, designs, and closing forces. Therefore, it can be used everywhere, where there is a need for shredding, sifting, drying, grinding, or sorting. The range of applications is enormous: from waste sorting and waste incineration to the mining of salt, bromine, lithium and titanium to the production of wood fibers or fertilizers. The flap shutter has achieved particular importance in the glass industry, for example in Zippe’s recycling and batch plants.

If two flap shutters are arranged one above the other, a double flap shutter is obtained. This is helpful when bulk materials are conveyed to a different pressure level, for example when discharging from cyclones.

 The closing force of the flap shutter can hold up to a 5 m water column. A special version is available for use at high temperatures (up to 350 °C).
