Each knocker requires a working time to function and a pause time to return to its starting position.
The impulser or clock generator has a wide time range for the pause time from 0.5 to 300 seconds and the working time from 0.5 to 60 seconds. To make it easier to set the short times, the scale is greatly stretched in the first half, so that the effect of a range switch from 1 to 9 can be achieved with simple means.
The timer can be set completely intuitively using manually operated rotary controls.
The timer is available as a surface-mounted device––suitable for 35 DIN 46277 mounting rails––and as a panel-mounted device with front dimensions of 72 x 48 mm.
The impulser was developed in 1977 in collaboration with electronics engineers as an accessory for controlling our pneumatic knockers, as there were no inexpensive devices with a large time range available on the German market. The clock generator has been further developed several times in line with the state of the art.
